Learning System

What are Flashcards and how do they work?
Flashcards use spaced repetition (SM-2 algorithm) to help you memorize Scripture verses, word meanings, theology, and more. Each card appears at optimal intervals based on your recall quality. Rate your memory as Again, Hard, Good, or Easy to adjust future reviews.
What is the Quiz system?
The Quiz system tests your Bible knowledge with multiple-choice questions across 6 categories: Verses, Word Studies, Theology, Characters, History, and Doctrine. You can select specific categories or take a mixed quiz. Correct answers earn XP rewards.
What is spaced repetition and why is it effective?
Spaced repetition is a proven learning technique where information is reviewed at increasing intervals. The SM-2 algorithm adjusts these intervals based on how well you remember each item. This maximizes long-term retention while minimizing study time.
What do the mastery levels mean?
Flashcards progress through 5 mastery levels: New (never reviewed), Learning (1-2 reviews), Young (3-4 reviews), Mature (5-7 reviews), and Mastered (8+ reviews). Higher levels mean longer intervals between reviews.
How do I earn XP from learning activities?
Flashcard reviews earn XP based on your rating (Again=0, Hard=5-10, Good=15-30, Easy=25-50 XP) and card difficulty. Quiz questions award XP only for correct answers, with harder questions giving more XP (Easy=10, Medium=15-25, Hard=25-30 XP).
Can I focus on specific topics?
Yes! Both flashcards and quizzes can be filtered by category. Focus on Verse Memorization, Word Studies, Theology, Biblical Characters, History, or Doctrine based on your learning goals.

Theological Approach

What is your theological perspective?
We are Christ-centered and cross-denominational. JESUS CHRIST is the ultimate interpretive key for all Scripture. We integrate insights from evangelical, Reformed, Pentecostal, and Orthodox traditions while maintaining biblical authority.
Which Bible translations do you use?
We primarily use ESV, NASB, and KJV, along with Robert Alter's literary translation for the Hebrew Bible. Users can compare translations side-by-side.
Who are the biblical scholars you reference?
We integrate perspectives from Dr. Michael Heiser (Divine Council Worldview), N.T. Wright (New Creation theology), G.K. Beale (Temple theology), Archbishop Benson Idahosa (Pentecostal authority), and others - always centering on Scripture.
